Cuttack temples gear up for Mahashivratri

Temples in the city have geared up for Mahashivratri that is to be observed on February 17.


Many temple are under renovation and restoration mode.


Maha Shivratri is a Hindu festival celebrated every year in rememberance of Lord Shiva. It is the day when Shiva got married to Parvati. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is observed on the 13th night or 14th day in the Krishna Paksha every year in the month of Falgun.
